Infinite IEP Pro

Privacy Policy

Summary: Infinite IEP Pro is a Chrome extension that helps special education teachers draft state-compliant IEP documents (California SEIS, Texas ARD) and run compliance reviews. By default, it uses the same privacy-first BYOK model as the Free edition: your API key stays in memory only, and we do not store student data on our servers. Optional hosted API proxy may be offered for district licenses under separate agreement.

1. Who we are

This extension is operated by Infinite Math Labs ("we," "us," or "our"). Contact: support@example.com

2. Scope

This policy applies to the Infinite IEP Pro Chrome extension, optional Cloudflare Worker proxy (iep-proxy.infinitemathlabs.workers.dev when enabled), and related support pages. It does not apply to your district's IEP management system or third-party AI providers.

3. Products in the Infinite IEP family

4. Information we collect

We do not collect, store, or sell student personal information on our servers in the standard BYOK deployment.

Data stored locally on your device (Chrome local storage):

AI provider and model preferences
Optional draft text (observations, PLAAFP, minutes, behavior notes, compliance review input)
Last selected state (CA, TX, or Federal)

API keys: Not persisted. Session memory only; cleared when the browser closes.

5. Hosted API proxy (optional)

If you or your district uses our Cloudflare Worker proxy instead of BYOK, requests are forwarded to Google Gemini to generate responses. In this mode:

Request content passes through our proxy transiently and is not logged or stored by us.
Google's Gemini API terms apply to data processed by Google.
District deployments may require a separate Data Processing Agreement (DPA) and Business Associate Agreement (BAA) where applicable.

6. Information sent to AI providers

When you generate content, prompts and your input are sent to:

Google Gemini, OpenAI, or Anthropic (user-selected BYOK), or
Local Ollama (data remains on your device), or
Our optional Gemini proxy (forward-only, no retention)

We do not use your content to train our own models.

7. PII scrubbing

The extension attempts to scrub student names and pronouns on paste. This is an aid, not a substitute for district policy. Educators must verify that no identifiable student information is sent to AI providers without proper authorization.

8. FERPA and student data

Infinite IEP Pro assists drafting; it does not replace official IEP records or professional judgment.
BYOK users are responsible for their AI provider relationship and district approval.
District licenses may include FERPA-aligned DPAs; contact us for Team or Enterprise terms.

9. Children's privacy (COPPA)

The extension is for adult educators. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 through the extension.

10. Analytics

The extension does not include third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. This website may use standard hosting logs (Cloudflare Pages / Cloudflare Workers).

11. Data retention and deletion

Uninstall the extension or clear extension storage to remove local data.
Proxy mode: we do not retain request payloads.
AI provider retention: governed by provider policies and your account settings.

12. International users

The extension is designed for U.S. special education workflows (IDEA, state SEIS/ARD standards). Users outside the U.S. are responsible for compliance with local education and privacy laws.

13. Changes

We may update this policy. The effective date above will change when we do. Material changes for district customers will be communicated per contract terms.
