Shared principles

API keys (Free & Pro BYOK mode) are kept in browser memory only — never written to disk.
Optional paste-time PII scrubbing replaces names with “the student” before AI requests.
We do not sell personal information or use extension content to train our own models.
Educators are responsible for FERPA compliance and district approval of AI tools.
